Does Astrology Control Your Life? Here’s the Truth.

Let me ask you something, babe. Have you ever read your birth chart, saw something like “Saturn square Venus,” and immediately spiraled into “WTF does this mean for my love life?!”

Same.

But here’s the deal: your chart does not have power over you.

I repeat: astrology doesn’t control you. YOU control you.

When I sat down (again) with my favorite astrologer Ray Sette, who honestly is lowkey a walking cosmic encyclopedia, he dropped some truth that I really want everyone to hear:

“Astrology doesn’t have power over us. It’s understanding how to work with the cycles of experience,” Ray said. “We all have free will. How things play out depends on the energy we project.”

💥 Read that again.

Just because you’re in a so-called “challenging” alignment doesn’t mean you’re doomed. It means you’re being given an opportunity. And what do you do with that energy? That’s where your power lives.

Astrology = A Map, Not a Prison Sentence

We use astrology to see the weather forecast of our soul. But it’s up to us to decide if we bring an umbrella, wear shorts, or stay inside.

“When I look ahead with a client,” Ray told me, “nothing is absolute. Nothing is guaranteed. These are possibilities. Opportunities. That’s how we make the most of any experience.”

Yes. Yes. And YES.

This is why I always say: don’t use astrology to freak yourself out, use it to fuel your next move.

So How Do You Work With It?

Here’s what’s worked for me:

• Observe the energy, don’t obsess over it.

• Anchor yourself daily. Grounding = clarity.

• Ask: What’s this teaching me?

• And never forget—you have the power to transmute fear into excitement. Ray says this all the time and it hits: “Turn fear from a headwind into a tailwind. Let it move you forward.”

That’s what being a healing bitch is all about. We don’t bypass the mess, we work with it.
